- Current job status: Dave, the other designer in D.C., is on vacation until the 8th. So until then, I am the only designer for both the Baltimore and D.C. offices. With any luck my bank account will survive the coming coffee onslaught... five days until payday!
- Easily the best bumper sticker seen this weekend: "Friends Don't Let Friends Drive Rice".
- This may be the first weekend where I've checked out several DVDs from the library and actually watched all of them! I'd been getting into the nasty habit of checking out way too many and not watching a single one, but after having paid off my $45 fine I think I've learned my lesson.
Revisited faves The Road Warrior (hence the new icon), Raging Bull, and Bela Lugosi's Dracula with the new Philip Glass score. Also gave a Katsuhiro Otomo ("The Akira guy") three-parter a try, a movie called Memories. Strange, funny, and at times quite poignant; a nice little cinematic triptych.
Clearly I don't have much going on these days. Perhaps I need a weekend at the beach? It seems to work for some people.
Here's something that I've been meaning to do for a while, if nothing else it'll give me an excuse to post here more often:
QUOTE OF THE DAY:

Big Boot
It's such a blatant advertisement for his daughter Brooke and her singing career. And to make matters worse, the one episode that I did see wasn't even remotely entertaining, so it strikes out on every count for me.I suppose it's one good thing about not having proper cable TV.

Re: Big Boot
It also seems liek a blatant attempt at advertising for the Hulkster, trying to claim he's still relevant.Thank heavens for Chris Jericho on VH1, I say.
